Disclaimer: You will notice I have not include USA as one of the countries, but have included the state of Hawaii. This is largely because I wish to use mainland USA as an example of the presentation, and to show students that there are many more countries that have English as one of their main languages. Hawaii was picked so there was something a bit closer to them, but still American. It will be pointed out that Hawaii is part of the USA and not a separate state

Any questions don't hesitate to ask me! As of yet this lesson is untested.

Update: Just finished this lesson with my top 二年生 class. They really enjoyed this lesson and it worked really well for both use of English and learning about different cultures and places around the world. The students had requested a second planning/prep period so I gave it to them. I also used my ipad to go around each group and show them their country on Google Earth (so they could see the capital city and what it looked like from the sky). Some additional research was needed...students could do it on their own, or you can provide.

The timeline went as follows...

1st lesson: Around the World worksheet
2nd lesson: Group planning
3rd lesson: Group planning (including how to pronounce each part of the dialogue and and an example presentation (I did one on the USA))
4th lesson: Presentation.
